Gratitude is an attitude.
Gratitude is the lubricant of life. It makes life run much smoother and quieter.
Gratitude is the magnetic field that pulls people together.
Gratitude is the magic tool that can repair any marriage or relationship.
Gratitude can bring sunshine into a dark room.
Gratitude can defuse an explosive situation.
Gratitude can germinate the seed of trust.
Gratitude in prayer is the expression of the souls sincere desire.

You know something? Your opportunity to express yourself in writing and the fact that you do it so beautifully, reminds me of a comment Jesse once said: "I'm really funny if everyone would let me get a word in edgewise." You're right, Jesse, you are really funny, and so sweet that you probably agreed to come last.
As for the subject of your blog, sweetheart, I just want to add that I so appreciate hearing those simple words, "Thanks, Mom and Dad for the card/gift/money/whatever it is" and it's a real joy when a grandchild calls to say thank you for their birthday card. Thanks for teaching them to express their thanks. It's an important virtue and will serve them well in every situation.
Great post, Dad. Thanks for being my dad and, with mom, giving me a childhood and upbringing that has allowed me to be a happy adult. Thanks for always remembering my birthday. Thanks for calling to say hi and for loving my kids and for being my fix-it helpline whenever I call with a question. And thanks for having a blog. I treasure every entry and the chance to get to know you even better through this forum.
I ditto Tiff's comment. And thanks for this reminder. I have had a rough week, and gratitude has been far from the attitude of my heart. I will strive to get back to this attitude for this coming week, season, and year. Love you sooooo much, and love you blog!
